Director de Inteligencia Artificial Educativa, Tecnológico de Monterrey
Irving Hidrogo is director of Artificial Intelligence Education at Tecnológico de Monterrey. Previously, he served as director of Innovation with Emerging Technologies, where he led the implementation of blockchain for the issuance of academic credentials, the deployment of educational spaces equipped with virtual reality, the enablement of the Tec Virtual Campus metaverse, among other projects.
He has also served as director of Innovation for the provost office of the northern zone. At the Monterrey campus, he has been director of the Center for Teaching Development and Educational Innovation (CEDDIE, for its initials in Spanish) and general coordinator of Semana i. At Prepa Tec, he was Academic and Institutional Effectiveness coordinator.
He has worked as a consultant for the private industry, has participated and held tenures with multiple international universities, and has conducted research in topics like education and educational technology. He has also taught in the departments of Science, Mathematics, and Computer Science at high school level, as well as Physics at undergraduate level. He has participated as a speaker and panelist in various forums on educational innovation and emerging technologies in several countries.
